#024 AEG G IV 1917 The AEG G IV was used primarily for short range bombing. It proved to be very efficient, being easy to fly and robust. Originally used for day bombing, it quickly surpassed as a night bomber; in some cases making six or seven runs a night. A bomb load of 800 kg was not unusual. The dark lozenge camouflage indicates it to be for night use. Our shirt depicts a unit (possibly 577/18) from Bogohl 4 (Bomber Squadron 4) and shows a very imaginative shark face added by its crew.
